Location: Lake Gaston Baptist Church - Rt. 903 - 1 mile North of Eaton Ferry Bridge Littleton, NC

Subject: Venomous & Non-Venomous Snakes in the Lake Area

Speaker: Tony Moran

Meeting Information

The May 3rd Lake Gaston Association's monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. will feature Tony [The Snake Charmer] Moran, LGA Director who will present a PowerPoint overview of the various venomous and non-venomous snakes which are prevalent to the lake area.

This will include proper identification, as well as suggested action when coming in contact with these sometimes unfriendly neighbors. Rest assured there will be no live snakes.

In addition, a representative of VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital will advise what action should be taken in the event of a snake bite and what treatment can be expected should the victim require transportation to an emergency room. Q&A will follow.

The meeting will also provide an opportunity to get caught up on the various activities that the LGA Committees – Public Safety, Lake Environment, Government Relations, Education, Marketing and Membership and Lake Clean-Up – are working on.

LGA meetings are open to the public, members and non-members, so mark your calendar and plan now to attend. Members are encouraged to bring a friend or neighbor who has an investment in Lake Gaston but might not be aware of the LGA’s efforts to protect that investment. In addition the LGA meeting is an opportunity to present any lake-related issues or concerns to the LGA Board and to hear about recent activities and updates from LGA committees:
