LGA monthly meeting August 4 at 9:30 a.m.
Lake Gaston Association will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, August 4 at 9:30 a.m., at the Lake Gaston Baptist Church on Rte. 903, one mile north of Eaton Ferry Bridge, near Littleton.
This meeting will focus on the race for U.S. Sen. Burr’s seat, and all the candidates have been invited to attend: Sen. Burr (R) (incumbent); Elaine Marshall (D) (currently NC Secretary of State); and Dr. Michael Beitler (LIB).
At press time, Beitler has confirmed his attendance. For more information on his background and Libertarian platform, visit his website at http://mikebeitler.com/senate/platform.html. Marshall’s campaign office is looking to see if they can squeeze the opportunity to speak at the LGA meeting into her busy campaign schedule. Unfortunately, Sen. Burr is unable to attend because the U.S. Senate will still be in session that day.
The meeting is also an opportunity for you to hear about recent activities and updates from each of the LGA committees: Lake Environment, Government Relations, Marketing, Membership, Planning & Development, and Safety.
