Northampton County NC - Emergency Services Information

All 911 Emergency calls in Northampton County, North Carolina are answered in the 911 Emergency Center in Jackson, NC and then redirected accordingly to the area Local Fire and Police Departments noted below. Northampton County also employs a reverse 911 system called "Code Red" that will automatically notify county property owners of emergency situations in the county. Local phones are automatically enrolled, but to add a cell phone, email account or out of area phone, register on their web site at www.northamptonnc.com. To report non emergency information to the Sheriff’s Department such as suspicious vehicles in the neighborhood, loud music, etc., call (252) 534-2611.

 

Roanoke Wildwood Volunteer Fire Department

  • The Roanoke Wildwood VFD responds to fire calls from the County Line on the West, the State Line on the North and to the Voltaire flashing light intersection on SR46 on the East. (Mutual support provided from the Gaston VFD, Gasburg VFD, Triplet VFD, Ebony VFD or Long Bridge VFD depending on the degree of the emergency and/or the location in the county.
  • For Emergency Medical Service (EMS), the 911 dispatcher will notify the Gaston Rescue Squad remote unit at RWVFD, the Gaston Rescue Squad in Gaston and the County EMS. All will dispatch transport vehicles. If the remote Gaston unit (garaged at the RWVFD) can handle the emergency, the on site Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will release the other units from responding. If a paramedic is required the unit from the County EMS will continue to the scene.
  • For Roadway Accidents, the 911 dispatcher will notify the County Sheriff’s Dept, State Police and fire and rescue as needed.
  • For Law Enforcement Issues, the 911 dispatcher will notify the applicable Sheriff’s Dept for response.
