Members of the Lake Gaston Association are represented by a Board of Directors, composed of five directors representing each county, of which no more than one position may be filled by an at large director (a director who is not required to own property in the county he is representing).
Directors are expected to be active in their county/community, routinely seek the views, issues and concerns of their constituents, and bring them to the attention of the Board. Directors routinely represent the LGA at local government meetings and the meetings of other lake-related organizations as appropriate. The Board takes action on lake-wide issues, while county directors usually action on county specific issues or concerns. The Board is administered by a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, elected from the membership of the Board.
